Bio

My translation career started in 2012 while
translating news articles for Myanmar news outlets.  I worked as a
freelance information coordinator between a local news agency—Myitmakha
Media Group
—and its two clients—Hong Kong-based Myanmar Insight and
German-based Deutschland Presseagentur. During the time, I had been
copyediting various local articles for English language publications.

As
my skills improved, I took the challenge of writing political analytic articles
in both English and Myanmar for Eleven Media Group, one of the leading
news company in Myanmar, by the end of 2012 soon after EMG inked a MoU with Thailand’s
The Nation Multimedia Group to publish an English language newspaper.

I
was assigned to take the role of both as a reporter for the Myanmar language
publications—Weekly Eleven News hournal and Bi-Weekly Elven News journal—
and copy editor for the company's English department. As both a copyeditor and
reporter, I worked on political stories while also writing my own reviews on
the country’s changing political landscape in the two weekly publications.

Shortly
before the publication of The Daily Elven Newspaper on May 3, 2013, I
was promoted to the position of editor for both English and Myanmar language
departments of the media company. Since then, I have been editing and reporting
stories myself. Meanwhile, I was able to further increase my knowledge in
various fields including politic, business, social, environment and law. For my
works and efforts, I was named Senior Editor at the Eleven Media Group by the
end of 2015.

After graduating from Thammasat University’s
Social Policy and Development program in 2020, I have been working as a
freelance researcher and translator for various NGOs, INGOs and businesses.
