There is no need to fast or restrict patient’s diet prior to the procedure. However, eating immediately before the procedure is not recommended as patient will be expected to eat and drink optimum diagnostic amounts of various types of food during the testing
Procedure:
During the scoping the patient is seated comfortably in a functional feeding position. A very small, flexible tube with a camera and light on the end is then gently inserted through the nose into the throat. The structures and functions of the upper aero digestive tract are than viewed through the attached computer and a video monitor. The test is recorded also for a later detailed analysis. Different food consistencies are given orally, mixed with food dye, and the patient is asked to swallow various amounts of each consistency. It is important to note that the tube has to stay inside the nose during the entire procedure for comprehensive diagnosis of the swallowing problem.

ليس هناك حاجة للصوم أو تحديد نوعية طعام المريض قبل إجراء العملية. لكن، من غير المحبز أن يأكل المريض مباشرة قبل العملية، إذ قد يطلب منه أن يأكل ويشرب كميات كبيرة من أنواع مختلفة من الطعام خلال الاختبار.
إجراءات الاختبار:
خلال إجراء التنظير، يجلس المريض بشكل مريح في وضعية عملية للإطعام. يتم برفق إدخال أنبوب مرن وصغير جداً مزوّد بكاميرا وضوء عند طرفه في الحنجرة من خلال الأنف. يتم عندها رؤية بنية ووظائف مجرى الجهاز الهضمي العلوي من خلال كمبيوتر وشاشة فيديو. يتم تسجيل الاختبار للقيام بوقت لاحق بتحليل مفصل للاختبار. يعطى المريض أنواع من الطعام ذات صلابة مختلفة عن طريق الفم، ويتم خلطها بصبغة للطعام، ثم يطلب من المريض أن يبلع كميات مختلفة من كل نوعية من هذه الأطعمة. من المهم الإشارة الى أن الأنبوب يجب أن يبقى داخل الأنف خلال الاختبار وحتى نهايته للحصول على تشخيص شامل لمشكلة البلع.

These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generate, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.
However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one of the following measures:
•Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
•Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
•Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
•Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
