Source text - English Metal foams made of grains and pores only nanometers or billionths of a meter wide are lighter than Styrofoam, enough to float on water. The extraordinarily high surface areas these unprecedented foams possess suggest they could serve as excellent platforms for chemical reactions that for instance help generate electricity or remove pollutants, experts told UPI's Niño World.
The methods used for making metal foams have until now been limited mainly to a handful of metals such as aluminum. These produce relatively dense, heavy foams or low-density foams with large pores and low surface areas. The new and simple technique energetic materials chemist Bryce Tappan and a multidisciplinary team of his colleagues at Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico developed produce unprecedented ultra-low density foams with pores as little as 10 nanometers wide from metals scientists could not foam in the past.

The gearing is primarily lubricated by spray lubri¬cation and is therfore always provided with an auto¬matic spray lubrication system, the operation and maintenance of which is described in separate in¬struction manual.
Oil bath lubrication may be used in an emergency. Below the pinion and in mesh with same there is a lantern wheel (16) which is foreseen to serve as lubrication wheel in connection with oil bath lubrication.
The hollow baseplate (10) serves as oil sump. A blank flange is inserted in the upper joint (17) in a downpipe (18) for used grease so that the blank flange is the bottom of the oil sump. Consequently blank flange and joint must be oil-tight. Use a heavy oil (FLS GL-0) as lubricant and pour it into the hollow space of the baseplate until the oil covers the lower lantern of the lantern wheel.
The gearing is lubricated as the lantern wheel tran¬ters oil from the oil sump to the pinion and further on to the gear rim.
To obtain the best alternative to spray lubrication, the applied oil must be of the best possible quality and contain dry lubricants.
Suitable oils are, for instance, Grafloscon C-F2 from Kluber Lubrication and Ceplattyn 100 from Rei¬ner Chemische Fabrik.
To avoid oil spillage, the oil level in the sump must not be too high. The lower teeth of the lubri¬cating wheel must only submerge halfway into the oil and refilling must only be done in small portions. Please note that ambient temperature fluctuations may make the oil level in the baeplate vary to the effect that at day-time it seems there is sufficent oil in the baseplate, whereas at night when it gets cold, much oil remains stuck on the guard and the level in the baseplate drops so much that there is a risk that the gearing is not lubricated at all du¬ring this period.

Source text - English How RCPSA Works
RCPSA is a product of technological advances relative to conventional pressure swing adsorption technology (cPSA). Two novel proprietary technologies have been applied: structured adsorbents (multi-bed system) and integrated rotary valves. The structured multi-bed system improves mass transfer coefficients by up to 100 times versus beaded adsorbents used in cPSA, thus significantly increasing the productivity per unit volume of adsorbent bed. The integrated rotary valves are used for rapid and reliable switching of gases between adsorbent beds, effectively capturing the increased capacity of the structured adsorbents. Like cPSA, RCPSA relies on the ability of adsorbent materials to selectively adsorb contaminants from a pressurized gas stream. However, these two technology advances substantially enhance separation efficiency, and as a consequence the physical size of RCPSA is significantly smaller than cPSA (~1/4 of cPSA plot space).
A multi-bed H-6200 system is fully shop assembled in a modular skid design that not only reduces field installation time and cost, but effectively avoids problems associated with field assembly and quality control. The modular design also enables distributed applications of H-6200 to recover hydrogen from each of the available streams as a staged investment to meet growing H2 demand. The compact size makes it possible to install the system within the existing process loop and reduce facility, tie-in and total erected costs. Use of a distributed hydrogen upgrading network improves reliability and flexibility such as turn-down operation.

В ней были применены две новейшие запатентованные технологии – структурированные абсорбенты (многослойная система) и многоканальные поворотные клапаны. Структурированная многослойная система улучшила коэффициент массопередачи более чем в 100 раз по сравнению с зернистыми абсорбентами, применяемым в КЦА, значительно увеличив, таким образом, производительность на единицу объема абсорбирующего слоя. Многоканальные поворотные клапаны, используемые для быстрого и бесперебойного распределения газов между абсорбирующими слоями, эффективно подхватывают возросшую пропускную способность структурированных абсорбентов. Как и КЦА, технология СКЦА основана на способности абсорбирующих материалов селективно адсорбировать примеси в потоке сжатого газа. При этом, эти два технологических усовершенствования ощутимо увеличили КПД сепарации и, как следствие, габаритные размеры установки СКЦА стали значительно меньше установок КЦА (~1/4 размера КЦА).
Система многослойной адсорбции H-6200 является полностью сборно-комплектной в блочно-рамной конструкции, что не только сокращает время и затраты на сборку в полевых условиях, но позволяет, фактически, избегать проблем, связанных с монтажом в полевых условиях и контролем его качества. Блочная конструкция, также, делает возможным применение установки H-6200 для получения водорода из любых доступных потоков, как очередной вклад навстречу возрастающей потребности в Н2. Благодаря компактным размерам, систему возможно расположить в имеющемся технологическом контуре и уменьшить стоимость самого оборудования, стоимость подключения и общие затраты на монтаж.
