Spanish term

modalidad de contratación

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Insurance business insurance policy
Could really do with some thoughts on this please!
Modalidad and contratación are always tricky, but together in one phrase.... uff!
Many thanks

insurance arrangement

.. of the policy 'taken out' > effected, though the term is far wider than one used in an insurance or re-insurance context,

Rather than arrangement of the insurance.

A contract of insurance - as the over-arching term - is not the same as a policy as there may be a certificate of insurance or insurance slip issued only: 'Insurance policies are sold without the policyholder even seeing a copy of the contract.'
Example sentence:

Por tipos de contrato, la modalidad de contratación que se utiliza por regla general es la de los nombramientos de duración limitada. unjiu.org By type of contract, the contracting pattern revealed a widespread use of ALDs.

NHMRC engaged Rallis Legal to review indemnity and insurance arrangements for clinical trials in the public and private sectors.

neutral AllegroTrans : and is not "insurance arrangement" subsumed into "type of policy/contract? Why go for the sub-atomic level?//orally binding insurance "arrangements" for industrial accidents in this day and age? c'mon

No. It is isn't as an insurance arrangement can, as a matter of course and not only at Lloyd's of London: 'my word is my bond' - be made *orally* as binding, besides which the asker is, predictably again, agreeing with own answer that IMO is misleading.
