I have found a few examples on the net of this requirement for the delivery of packages, and one definition (below). It seems to be the registration of date and time of delivery.
Example sentence:

Thanks for your research Anita. It's true that "pointer" can mean "to clock in" (for employees). I'm not sure though that time and date are involved here, but rather simply acknowledging that the articles have been collected. But I will check with the client. |
