I see no reason not to go with 'incursion' itself, though context is key.
Both words mean a sudden raid, but 'foray' stresses obtaining something; to my way of thinking, it involves grabbing and running.
Incursion has a slightly less hasty sense to it in terms of its duration.
So...context.
