Strömungskörper

German to English Tech/Engineering Aerospace / Aviation / Space
What is meant here is any kind of solid object that air (or another medium) flows around. The idea is to test or describe how streamlined it is, what the flow characteristics are etc.

I've seen "flow body" as a translation, mainly in texts that were translated from German, but I don't think that exactly hits it. Any other suggestions?

@ WriuszTran You will rarely find a EN source with DE version in the same document or on the same homepage for this very special expression. Most bilingual references are German. You can only trust on reliable sources, like the Fraunhofer Institut, which has a multitude of affiliates worldwide, including USA and UK.

You may read pages like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drag_(physics) what I discovered while entering 'Strömungskörper' into Wikipedia. The page is linked to Strömungswiderstand'.
