I'm not sure I get the scenario here entirely, but I think that coser is generally translated by thread in these contexts, and anchor (or anchorage) is an accepted translation for anclaje in many cases.

: You have to be very careful in trying to combine terms where the refs have (....) between phrases. They can be separated by dozens of pages and have no relation to each other. The DOE doc is 231 pages.
