marriage contract ir cita lieta, kas nav saistāma ar marital agrement. Vismaz juridiski šīs frāzes nav sinonīmas.
Marriage contract= a form of mutual consent required for a matrimonial relationship to exist according to the law of the place where the consent takes place.
Marital agreement= an agreement between spouses or two people enagaged TO BE MARRIED concerning the division and ownership of mariatal property during marriage or upon dissolution by death or divorce. ALSO termed marriage settlement, property settlement. Arī saistīts ar prenuptial un postnuptial agreement, kam arī ir savas nianses.
Nav zināms, par ko ir latviešu teksts, taču pavisam droši, ka marital agrement and marriage contract nevajadzētu jaukt.
