Bio

Hi,

I'm Katerina Georgakli, born and raised in Greece and in 2013 I graduated from the Ionian University, Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting.

Since then, I have been living in Ireland and during 2021 I moved to the Netherlands.

I am a well accomplished Insurance Operations Analyst, working in the Insurance Industry for more than 5 years. I am thorough, analytical, very organised and well-trusted by my collegues and managers.

On the side, for the last 6 years I have been doing translations for an agency in Ireland (from Greek to English and vice versa). Mainly, I have been translating:

-Personal Documents(Birth/Death/Marriage/Academic Certificates, etc),

-Police records,

-Medical Reports,

-Divorce papers

and every other type of personal documents intended for the Public or Private Sector. During those years, I have also translated more specialised texts (T&Cs and contracts).

The reason I didn't pursue a translator career right after my studies was purely financial. However, my future goal has always been to focus on freelance translation. That is the reason I have always kept contact with the translation industry.

Apart from the translation experience listed above, I have an extended experience in the Insurance Sector (health, credit protection and travel insurance), as well as in Online Betting and Gambling (due to my earlier years of work experience in a company offering such services).
