Translation - English Figurative languages in Kridsana Asoksin 's Novels
This research aimed to study the figurative languages of women in Kridsana Asoksin’s novels and investigate concepts about women from figurative languages that appeared in Kridsana Asoksin’s novels. Data used in this study were 64 novels of Kridsana Asoksin’s pseudonym and the research methods were document research and descriptive analysis presentation. It was found that 1) there are 5 characteristics of figurative languages of women in Kridsana Asoksin’s novels; simile was found in 17 forms included similitude of women with plants, animals, accessories, nature, specific roles, appliances, toys, arts, musical instruments, energy, kids, desserts, seasonings, female humans and inhuman, commodity, finery, and minerals; metaphor was found in 11 forms included metaphor of women with plants, animals, accessories, nature, female humans and inhuman, commodity, books, appliances, medicines, elixir and comestibles; symbol was found in 7 forms included symbols in the form of plants, animals, accessories, nature, female human and inhuman, finery and commodity; allusion was found in 3 forms included allusion to characters in literature, idiom, and some part of literature’s poem; comparison was found in 2 forms included comparing women with parts of the body and comparing women with soul; and 2) there are 4 concepts about women from figurative languages that appeared in Kridsana Asoksin’s novels; physical included appearance, manner, and parlance; habits included personal habits and social habits; relationship with family and society included family members and society members; ideology for life included family, education, and career.

The use of tariffs to protect infant industries can be seen by the Import Substitution Industrialization (ISI) strategy employed by many developing nations. The government of a developing economy will levy tariffs on imported goods in industries in which it wants to foster growth. This increases the prices of imported goods and creates a domestic market for domestically produced goods while protecting those industries from being forced out by more competitive pricing. It decreases unemployment and allows developing countries to shift from agricultural products to finished goods.
Criticisms of this sort of protectionist strategy revolve around the cost of subsidizing the development of infant industries. If an industry develops without competition, it could wind up producing lower quality goods, and the subsidies required to keep the state-backed industry afloat could sap economic growth.
