Swedish term

ändamålsskäl

Swedish to English Law/Patents Insurance reklamationsplikt
Hello, I would like to verify that ändamålsskäl here is best translated as "reasoning" as follows. Thanks for your help!

Faktum är att ändamålsskäl snarare ger stöd för att försäkringsgivarens skyldighet att reklamera innan försäkringsfall inträffat borde uppkomma i ett tidigare skede än skyldigheten att reklamera i samband med skaderegleringen.

that could go in a lot of directions though. Care to give me a hint? -:)

No No, it isn’t. The two parts of the word give you its meaning.

Example 2 (assumes "lämplighetsskäl" is synonymous with "ändamålsskäl"):

"När det gäller icke-internationella väpnad konflikter bör Sverige både med hänsyn till studiens resultat och av lämplighetsskäl som huvudregel tillämpa och i övrigt göra gällande samma regelverk som i internationella konflikter."

"Concerning non-international conflicts, we express the view that Sweden – both with regard to the findings of the study and for reasons of expediency – should, as a rule, apply and otherwise maintain the same rules as in international conflicts. "
