Discussion

MMUlr May 15, 2010:
RTx or RTX ... is an acronym for radiotherapy / Radiotherapie, Strahlentherapie of the prostate cancer. See e.g.: http://www.onkodin.de/zms/content/e6/e38842/e40437/e40438/in... oder http://www.onkologie2010.de/haemoblastosen/gastro/magen_ther...
Gisela Greenlee May 15, 2010:
KM The abbreviation "KM" may also be for "Karzinommetastase", given that the patient has cancer. If there are no reports of CT scans or other radiological studies, there is no reason to mention contrast medium. I would call (or email) the physician to get a clarification if you have the contact information.
Lirka May 14, 2010:
As for KL I feel that L stands for 'Lage'. Chest x-ray done is a certain position.
Lirka May 14, 2010:
'auf' may actually be 'Aufnahme', so KM-Aufnahme, which would makes sense. Contrast uptake.
Sonja Poeltl (asker) May 14, 2010:
Contrast medium... is just a guess. The original text: "Nierenzyste mit frag. Wandverdickung frag. KM auf untere Pol 1.4"

Kaiserslautern

Just a guess since it's most likely a military patient, right?
Radiation therapy in Kaiserslautern (if the patient lives nearby)

Did your document mention that the diagnosis is based on a CT/MRI with contrast? There's usually some mention of increased uptake/accumulation/enhancement in conjunction with contrast studies.

What does the ultrasound report say?
Note from asker:
Could be, you may be right. Do you think "Km" means "contrast medium"?
No mentioning of MRI or CT. Unfortunately! It talks further about sonography, urinalysis, medical history. That's why I am not sure.

saline solution

This is just a guess, therefore my low confidence level!

Unter RTx in KL = Unter Rituximab in Kochsalzlösung.

Rituximab is an intravenous drug that is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis and B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. It belongs to a class of drugs called monoclonal antibodies.
http://www.medicinenet.com/rituximab/article.htm

The vehicle in which rituximab was administered was a saline solution without additional protein.

neutral MMUlr : IMO RTx or RTX --> Radiotherapie, Strahlentherapie. The prostate cancer was treated with radiotherapy ... in (some kind of position? Lage?) or simply "in der Klinik" Kl. ...
5 hrs
Quite possible if the patient received radiotherapy. (RTX = Rituximab is a chemotherapy drug.)
