Es más frecuente y más correcto decir «discopatía» que «enfermedad discal» o «enfermedad del disco».

agree Cecilia Gowar : Lo he visto como "enfermedad degenerativa" pero suena a traducción directa del inglés. Discopatía es más compatible con el vocabulario médico en castellano.

It would depend on target audience

Hi. I would use "enfermedad degenerativa" if the target audience is of lower education level and the text needs to be easier to comprehend. Otherwise, I would use "discopatía" as Patricia said. Have a good day! :)

agree DarwinE : Although I submitted my own response I have to agree with this perspective. You don't use the same vocabulary in a pathology report analyzed by a medical professional like you would in an educational pamphlet that is to be read by a patient.
