Für "yellow gram" und "green monks" habe ich keine Übersetzung gefunden. ICh vermute es geht um spezielle Erbsen oder Bohnen. Weiß einer von Euch, wie diese auf Deutsch heißen?

Danke Euch allen für eure konstruktuven Beiträge. Auch wenn yellow gram sich wohl auch auf gelbe Linsen beziehen könnte, habe ich mich für Berits Lösung entschieden und einen entsprechenden Kommentar eingefügt.

Could the "green monks" be referring to monk fruit? Which is green and doesn't appear to have a German equivalent. Siraitia grosvenorii is the Latin name and Luo Han Guo or Kuo in Chinese.

Indian food traders define the term as follows.

Yellow gram:
Yellow split peas
Yellow lentils
Chickpeas
Baby chickpeas
Garbonza beans
Yellow mung beans
Yellow pulses (The easy way out - all of them are pulses)

White gram is a chickpea, but black gram is a lentil

yellow gram müssten eigentlich gelbe/rote Linsen sein, es könnte sich aber auch um Kichererbsen handeln, green monks müssten eigentlich Mungbohnen sein. Wahrscheinlich sollte es green mungs oder moongs heißen. Mungbohnen werden auch als green gram bezeichnet.

Desi-Kichererbsen

Gram ist definitiv auf Kichererbsen bezogen (gram flour). Und zu yellow gram habe ich den Desi-Typ der Kichererbse gefunden:

Und schlussfolgernd daraus: Kichererbsen vom Desi-Typ (anstatt vom Kabuli-Typ).

Zu green monks habe ich leider auch nichts gefunden, könnte aber ein typo (Mung?) sein, oder evtl. normale grüne Erbsen, die wegen der Mönche, die sie verbreitet/genutzt haben "monks" genannt werden? Oder wegen dem Mönch Mendel mit der Vererbungsregel. Aber das sind eigentlich nur Spekulationen....

Hier ist das Einzige, was ich zu monk peas gefunden habe.... Aber ich weiß nicht, in wiefern das weiterhilft, da es leider keine Produktinformation enthält... Sieht aber eher wie Erbse aus als Bohne.
