Discussion

Daryo Oct 2, 2016:
cut through ... littéralement:

ou une version moins polie: to cut the BS/background noise and get the important/relevant bits
Karine Derancy (X) Oct 2, 2016:
I find the link suggested by Daryo very much to the point. I understand cut through as in making a distinction between what is appropriate and what's not.
Tony M Oct 1, 2016:
Context please, Asker! As you can see from the two widely divergent answers already posted, in this instance context is going to be of paramount importance here!

What is the 'service' being proposed, and to whom?

My initial reading of this was to have a means of getting your marketing message through loudd and clear to potential customers, so that YOUR product etc. stands out from the myriad other products being flung at us all the time — sometimes, sifting through Google results, for example, is like looking for a needle in a haystack because there is so much 'noise' out there.

Is that the general tenor of your document? If not, then what is, please?

Like the woerful beam from a lighthouse cutting through the 'fog'...

disagree Daryo : that's not what they are doing, and even without any context it's completely off tangent - it's the translation for "to reduce ..." NOT for "to cut through ..." hardly the same thing!

you ever bother taking the whole context into account?
