Norwegian term

faglig krydder

Norwegian to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general)
From an informal text about the benefits of getting involved in university associations:

Studentforeningene arrangerer ofte sosiale sammenkomster på tvers av trinnene, og er du med i styre og stell, er det du som skaffer faglig krydder i form av for eksempel foredrag eller prisutdeling.

"field-related spice" They mean something related to their field to spice up their meetings. It's not an established expression, as far as I know!

(professional) icing on the cake

"polish" and other similes will also fit.
I would rewrite the clause as in the example.
Example sentence:

...if you join the committee, you will be the one providing the icing on the cake in the form of presentations and awards

Of course there’s always the more literal option - field-related “spice”.
