I didn't stop traffic / no queues formed behind me Explanation: or other variations which will surely follow.... As he stopped to talk to the prostitute, no cars had to stop behind him -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 16 mins (2017-10-30 11:51:12 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Re note: Sorry, yes, I guess he means people standing behind him. That would clarify also the "pensierino su di me", i.e., either an aggression of some kind or an indecent proposal...which wouldn't be possible if they were in cars. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 37 mins (2017-10-30 12:11:54 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- No, "pensiero SU DI ME" is not "stesso pensiero mio". It means that they're thinking about him in some way, making a move on him. Not clear whether for "hitting him" or "hitting ON him". |

luckily I didn't cause a line to form. Explanation: It sounds like he feels lucky that he's not mistaken for a prostitute which might cause another line/queue to sprout up behind him. Though a couple of times he gets the impression that someone does give him a thought..like a second glance. A fleeting thought. |
