Spanish term

Cnel. Trans. DEM.

Spanish to English Law/Patents Certificates, Diplomas, Licenses, CVs Title of the head of the Central Military Hospital in El Salvador
Hello fellow linguists,
I wonder if anyone could help me with translating the above acronyms?
They precede the name of the Director of the Central Military Hospital of El Salvador and appear on the Surgery Diploma of a graduate.
So the full title is: Cnel. Trans. DEM. José Francisco Samayoa Guerrero
There isn't much context apart from that really, but I can of course answer any questions you have on the diploma.
The first acronym I am sure is 'Colonel' but I honestly have no idea what the 'trans. and the DEM' could mean.
I would be grateful if anyone could shed any light on this!
Many thanks in advance.

Col. [Military Acad. Degrees] [Name]

Esta podría ser una solución.
Otra más extensa: Salvadorean Military Academic Degrees
Explicación adicional al pie: General Staff Degree, Transmissions Engineer Degree, pero no sé si tiene sentido añadir tanto detalle.

Reference:

Cnel = Coronel

Trans = Transmissions

DEM = Doctrina y Educación Militar

I'm afraid I don't have time to find a suitable translation but someone might find this useful.
Peer comments on this reference comment:

agree Charles Davis : Trans is indeed Transmisiones but DEM is Diplomado de Estado Mayor

Thank you, Charles. Why don't you post an answer? I don't have time to prepare one.

Salvadorean military abbreviations

Here's a document about them, with a list, including Trans. = Transmisiones (as Helena says):
http://www.codem.gob.sv/index.php/publicaciones/boletin-info...

It doesn't include DEM, but it's clear from the following (for example)

" 03.- RENATO ANTONIO PÉREZ AGUIRRE
CORONEL ART DEM
[...]
Curriculum
CORONEL ART DIPLOMADO DE ESTADO MAYOR [...]"
