The text I'm translating mentions this as an alternate term for "dadaism" itself, but I can't find a convincing equivalent in English.
The term "arte de repulsa" in Spanish is fairly rare, so I'm thinking it's probably a translation itself (from French or German, perhaps?).
I've looked at "art of rejection", "art of repulsion", "repulsive art", "art of condemnation", "repellant art" and different configurations of these terms "rejection art", etc., but I'm not convinced with any of them.
Context:
"La palabra "dadá" fue hallada por Tzará al abrir al azar un diccionario, y según sus propias declaraciones, no posee ningún significado. Él afirma que el dadaísmo nunca estuvo fundado en teoría alguna y que siempre fue una protesta, de ahí que también se le conozca bajo el nombre de arte de repulsa."

I would go for something like this. Dadaism is my favourite movement and when I was studying the word "disgust", strong as it may sound, came up a lot. Disgust with the world post-First World War and with "putrid" and stale art forms. I'll post more ideas for you as they come up but this was the first expression used by the artists and writers of the time that came to my mind.

By the way, I don't think there's anything wrong with describing it as an "art of rejection" either, since this is another key element of the principles of dadaism.

: Spot on. The last section of Tzara's Dada Manifesto of 1918 is entitled "DÉGOÛT DADAISTE", normally translated as Dadaist disgust.

Yes! In the MOMA article above they mention Tzarà's use of disgust though it's extremely relevant to point out "disgust" as the most logical translation of "dėgoût". Thanks.
