J'utilise régulièrement "établissement" pour "facility" et dans ce cas il est très probable qu'il y ait plusieurs sites donc nous parlerions plutôt d'établissement, il me semble.

Me semble tout à fait correct. Il est normal pour une société qui passe un contrat de production, par exemple, de demander à visiter les installations de production pour s'assurer qu'elle sont à même de produit l'objet du contrat dans de bonnes conditions.

Considering this is the banking/insurance sector, I believe this would refer to client visits to the premises (and particularly to any information acquired during these visits). IMO, "visites des locaux" would be an appropriate translation given the context.
