This is the other type of material referred to in my SAP system (the first one was Flaechenmaterial). It refers to things like Rohre, Profile, etc.

or rod material? Bit more difficult this, as it includes pipes. Perhaps bar and tube material?

I don't really know whether this would fit your text, but it strikes me as a sensible alternative to "sheet stocks", which are measured in area, whereas rods, pipes and so on would certainly be measured in length...
