MRI scan of the brain
Hi
I am working on a translation of an MRI scan of the brain and wondered what this meant; I am not convinced by findings of "leucopathy/leukopathy".
Here is the context:
RESULTAT
Hypersignaux FLAIR en plages de la substance blanche périventriculaire et focaux des centres semi-ovales associés a une lésion lacunaire capsulaire externe gauche en rapport avec une leucopathie vasculaire.
Is this "leukoencephalopathy"?
Thank you!

Progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML) or Progressive multifocal leucoencephalopathy (as it is often referred to in UK or Australian texts) also known as progressive multifocal leukoencephalitis, is a rare and usually fatal viral disease characterized by progressive damage (-pathy) or inflammation of the white matter (leuko-) of the brain (-encephalo-) at multiple locations (multifocal).

Progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML) is a disease of the white matter of the brain, caused by a virus infection that targets cells that make myelin--the material that insulates nerve cells (neurons).
