société immobilière d\'attribution

français vers anglais Droit / Brevets Droit (général) property
I've found the definition of this, to wit:
But ... how to say it? Is "property investment company" too vague, for instance? "Acquisition/allocation property company ...?
Help would be appreciated and thanks in advance!

Nathalie Stewart Mar 18, 2017:
An association of co-owners is not the same. The aim of the association is to maintain the co-ownership, it is not temporary and it does not disappear (like the SCI d'attribution) after the property is divided among the co-owners.
Nathalie Stewart Mar 18, 2017:
NOT an association of co-owners société immobilière d'attribution

disagree AllegroTrans : "...among the members of an Association of Co-Owners" would be more accurate, even though long-winded

Co-Owners in the context you suggest seems "after the fact", i.e., co-ownership after the building was built and not before, thus losing the notion of "attribution", IMO.
agree Nathalie Stewart : I don't think there is any exact equivalent in UK or US law.

property allocation company

This is just a single example found on the web, but it's about a French company which is a real Société Civile Immobilière d'Attribution:
"SCIA Parc du Millénaire
Property allocation company with capital of €1,525, divided into 100 shares."

I don't think there is any exact equivalent in UK or US law.
