français term

boutonnerie et voyants d'ordre de positionnement

français vers anglais Technique / Génie Ingénierie (général)
Could you help me with the following words, please ?
"boutonnerie et voyants d'ordre de positionnement"

I translate "boutonnerie" by "buttons and "voyants" by "warning lights".
For me, the problems are "d'ordre de positionnement". I don't known how translate these terms and if they are only related to "voyants" or if they are related to both words ("boutonnerie" and "voyants").

The whole text talks about a unit which sets the incidence angle of a wind turbine's blade (I don't known if it is clear) and the phrase to translate is part of a technical description of the unit's interface.

Thank you in advance.

keys and lamps for the positioning system

My suggestion.
I think "d'ordre" refers to both boutonnerie & voyants.

neutral Tony M : I agree, but not sure about 'keys', which are usually 'touches' more than 'boutons'

push buttons and indicators as per the order of positioning

I feel that these push buttons and indicators are positioned as per the sequence of the operations to be done.
Peer comment(s):

disagree Tony M : I don't think the source text ledns itself to this interpretation.

positioning control buttons and indicators

I feel sure 'ordre de positionnement' qualifies both terms.

My biggest qualm is to know why the writer chose to use 'ordre' instead of the more usual 'command'?

Do note that although 'voyant' can in some cases indeed mean 'warning light', that only really applies where there is some specific warning function; otherwise, the more general term 'indicator' (a more literal translation of 'voyant') is probably safest.
