Have checked the one Proz glossary entry (bus/fin) but am still confused as to whether, in the following context, this should be translated as 'running average', 'moving average' or even, literally as 'sliding average', as all these terms seem to exist. I have even seen 'floating average' - but I am not at all sure which term would be used here.
Here is the context, taken from a document about programmable controllers used to regulate the air flow in an aeration sequence.

This is the term I am most familiar with for what is being described here: a running average over 4 values
