[NAME] is a data encryption tool for Microsoft Windows devices.
BitLocker provides data security by encrypting your hard drive and securing it with your own personally chosen PIN for access.
It runs silently in the background on your computer, so the only thing you really have to do is set your PIN!
GET STARTED WITH [NAME]
If you receive a new computer, [NAME] will already be built into your machine.
Most likely, your system will already be encrypted (if not, see Encrypt and Create Your PIN), and you will receive a PIN from your On-Site Support person.
When you start your computer for the first time, you will be prompted for the PIN.
Enter the PIN you received.
Next, you will be prompted for your network ID and password.
Enter this information.
Once you have logged into the computer, you should reset your [NAME] PIN to something only you know.
To reset your PIN, you can go to the search bar on the Start menu and type in BitLocker, then click [NAME] Encryption Options, or you can open Explorer, right-click on the C: drive in the window, and select [NAME] Encryption Options from the menu.
You can also go to your Start menu and choose Control Panel.
If your view is by Icons, [NAME] Encryption Options will be listed.

I'm an Italian 30 years old professional literature and technical translator. I achieved a Master Degree in Literature translation at the University l'Orientale of Naples, where I had the chance to go deeper into translation studies not limiting myself on literature translation, but also focusing my attention on technical translation and its strategies. My university career ended with a dissertation thesis for which i translated a biography written by the avant-guarde writer Ramón Gómez de la Serna. This work, which is currently unpublished in Italian language, it's going to be published in Italian for the first time.
