I mentored a colleague from Latin America and learnt a lot from the experience.

Many times, formally, and informally, but I've never been remunerated for that purpose. It's always a pro-bono thing, but I do it with pleasure.

While in-house. It's great fun sharing what you've learned, and great for questioning why you do what you do the way you do it. I have learned a thing or two from students and interns, often stuff that younger generations are interested in.
