Are you taking the P? Dec 25, 2016

Another dopey poll question following on from yesterday's poll question, which was (surprise, surprise):

Did you make any professional New Year's resolutions for 2016 that you kept?

So, Anonymous has obviously been Proz staff all along?

In answer to today's poll question - One of the available options.

Bang goes any Christmas cheer I had. Humbug!

*funnels Christmas cheer to Julian*

What other four-letter p word that is, is another test of Britishness, like the candle. So you've already made at least one person chuckle today!

This year is slowly running out of time. Maybe ProZ is slowly running out of polls?

Yes Dec 25, 2016

I intend to work on expanding my client base. Until now, I've been too busy, too picky about rates, too busy to fill out a lot of forms, and too reluctant to take a test. But with so many of my contacts retiring, I have to relax my standards a bit.

I will leave my career to fate, as I always have. See what turns up.

Now, back to my festive forklift brochure...

I told you yesterday! Dec 25, 2016

Why annoy people on Christmas Day by asking a question that was asked yesterday and isn't seasonal anyway? If you must ask it, it should be at New Year.

Yours uncharitably,

Ebenezer Scrooge.

could be that each of us think of at least one INTERESTING poll question instead of complaining about all the bad ones.

By the way, I know for at fact that the anonymous poll questions are not all inspired by the proz staff; The staff just 'aligns' the questions, which is why many translators choose to suggest polls anonymously.

And concerning the current poll question: Other

During the year I get (minor) ideas to how I'll handle certain matters differently the following year, and I usually implement them until/unless they prove wrong.

But that's how business develops as I see it.

Merry Christmas and a prosperous and healthy New Year.

God bless!

The one and only New Year's resolution I've ever kept was to never make another New Year's resolution. That was over 30 years ago. I figure I can resolve to do something on as many of the other days of the year as I need to.
