...I have played mental word games to get myself to sleep. Of the "how many words ending in -and/-end/-ind/-ond/-und are there" type. As I learned other languages, this extended to "how many verbs do you know beginning with b in Italian" etc. Still do variations of all, although finally in middle age I seem to have got over my problems with getting to sleep and tend to fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow. Bad for my vocabulary practice, good for my health. Apart from this... See more ...I have played mental word games to get myself to sleep. Apart from this, crosswords, preferably cryptic, boggle etc. And a game we used to play at Christmas: find an odd word in the dictionary and challenge people to come up with the word immediately after/before it - the closest wins. You can't play that one with on-line dictionaries. Edited to remove those typos.

If with language games is meant something that is already there and you play it, then no. Otherwise, I used to play this game with my son, since we are both multilingual: While we talk, we try to use and mix up as many languages and words as possible, we had a lot of fun doing it with English, Spanish, Italian, some words in Japanese (for him) and German (which he doesn't speak but mysteriously enough understands, maybe because when I was pregnant I was in Germany).
