The ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Standards Committee took action to
eliminate Code Case expiration dates effective March 11, 2005. This means that
all Code Cases listed in this Supplement and beyond will remain available for
use until annulled by the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Standards Committee.

Austenitic Stainless Steel Seamless Tubes (18Cr-9Ni-
3Cu-Cb-N)
Section I
Inquiry: May solution-treated austenitic stainless steel seamless tubes with the chemical analysis shown in Table 1 the mechanical properties shown in Table 2, and that other¬wise conform to applicable requirements in Specification SA-213 be used for steam service in Section I construction?
Reply: It is the opinion of the Committee that austenitic stainless steel seamless tubes having the chemical require¬ments shown in Table 1, and room temperature mechanical property requirements as shown in Table 2 may be used for steam service in Section I construction provided that the following requirements are met.
(a) The material shall meet the chemical analysis and minimum tensile requirements described in the Inquiry, and shall otherwise meet the requirements of SA-213 as applicable, except as shown in (b) and (c),
(b) The material shall be solution-treated at 2,000°F minimum.
(c) The hardness shall not exceed 219 HB (230 HV, 95 HRB).
(d) The maximum allowable stress values for the mate¬rial shall be those given in Tables ЗА and 3B. The maxi¬mum design temperature is 1,500°F (815°C).
(e) The rales of PG-19 for TP347H shall apply for this material.

Комитет по стандартам для котельных резервуаров и резервуаров высокого давления Американского общества инженеров-механиков (ASME) отменил срок истечения действия Положений Правил, наступающий 11 марта 2005 года. Это означает, что все Положения Правил, перечисленные ниже в этом приложении и вне его, будут действовать до их аннуляции Комитетом по стандартам для котельных резервуаров и резервуаров высокого давления Американского общества инженеров-механиков (ASME).

Раздел 1
Запрос: Могут ли трубы из обработанной на твердый раствор аустенитной нержавеющей стали с химическим составом, приведенным в Таблице 1, и механическими свойствами, приведенными в Таблице 2, по остальным параметрам соответствующие требованиям Спецификации SA-213, использоваться в качестве пароотводящих труб в конструкции согласно Разделу 1 (Section 1).
Ответ: Комитет считает, что трубы из аустенитной нержавеющей стали с химическим составом, приведенным в Таблице 1, и механическими свойствами при комнатной температуре, приведенными в Таблице 2, могут использоваться в качестве пароотводящих труб в конструкции согласно Разделу 1 (Section 1) в случае, если выполняются следующие требования:
(а) Материал должен соответствовать требованиям к химическому составу и минимальному пределу прочности, описанным в запросе, а также в остальном соответствовать требованиям SA-213, когда применимо, кроме случаев, указанных в пунктах (б) и (в).
(б) Материал обрабатывается на твердый раствор минимум при 2 000°F.
(в) Твердость не превышает 219 HB (230 HV, 95 HRB).
(г) Максимально допустимые значения нагрузки материала соответствуют приведенным в Таблицах 3А и 3В. Максимальная температура обработки 1500°F (815°С).
(д) Правила PG-19 для TP347H действуют в отношении этого материала.
