Bio

I was born in Moscow, Russia.

Being interested in liberal arts, I graduated from the Moscow State Institute of Culture (MSIC) with a BS in Library and Information Science and completed a post-graduate program in the same field afterwards.

During my education in the institute, I started working at the Department of Manuscripts at the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, where I was involved in researching museum documents and organizing exhibitions. I have some publications related to the museum’s library history.

While striving to develop my career, I worked as a specialist at the Russian National Public Library for Science and Technology just before moving to the United States 13 years ago. Here I decided to receive a domestic education and graduated from Bellevue College with an AA in Web Marketing.

Soon after that, I started working at Blueprint Technologies on an engagement related to customer support for one of the well-known video game platforms worldwide. Having five years of experience handling and analyzing users’ issues related to the field of video games field, I decided to apply my expertise and skills to localization.

I am now in the process of completing the Translation & Interpretation Program at Bellevue College. I am already familiar with the translation process as whole, terminology search techniques, and some CAT tools for translators. I am sure that the combination of my in-depth knowledge of the regional culture and experience in the field of video games will make me a good specialist who will be able to provide video game localizations tailored specifically to the Russian market.
