Having grown up in the heart of the Alps, I soon felt the desire to get to know different countries, cultures and languages. My enthusiasm for the English language led me to study translation and interpreting at the University of Innsbruck with my second foreign language being Russian, a newly developed interest of mine at that time. During my studies I was able to explore Russia through study programmes in Kursk and Nizhny Novgorod as well as trip on the Trans-Siberian railway from Moscow to Beijing.

After my graduation I wanted to not just travel, but also move permanently to another country and gain work experience in the translation industry. This came true for me in London, where I lived for nearly three years and worked as a Project Manager for a leading language service provider. The knowledge I gained there has shaped my talent of working to tight deadlines, multi-task and organise myself efficiently, which are all necessary factors when working as a freelance translator.

In mid-2014 I decided to move back to Austria to turn my plan of working as a full-time translator and having my own company into reality. I combine my linguistic knowledge and my passion for different cultures and languages with a highly professional approach towards every-day work, great attention to detail and an interest to research new fields and subject areas so that none of my clients are lost in translation.
