I was a Canadian government staff translator from 1974 to 2014. I am now retired but still do freelance work. I am also the author of the widely used textbook Revising and Editing for Translators (4th edition, Routledge 2020), and I frequently lead revision workshops for translators in Canada and elsewhere. I also teach a one-semester course every year at the School of Translation, York University, Toronto, and have published over 50 articles in the field of Translation Studies (some are available at my website).
