I have a degree in mathematics and I have worked in different areas. I was employed by a bank for 7 years and then I taught math to high school students. A couple of years ago, I was asked to write a couple of articles for a local newspaper. They wanted me to write about animal welfare. Since I am a member of PETA, I called them and asked if I could use the newsletters they sent me for my articles. They enthusiastically said yes! They called me soon afterwards and asked if I would be willing to do some translation work for them. One thing led to another and I decided to stop teaching and become a freelance translator.
I was raised in both English and French. Therefore, I have excellent knowledge of both languages and cultures. I am honest, trustworthy and ponctual. I have many interests and I am therefore confortable with many different subjects: banking, mathematics, education, movies, t.v., books, animal welfare, charity work, history, fashion, games and so much more.
As a freelancer, I have translated various documents such as:
- Health and Safety manuals (construction)
- Marketing texts (nutrition, food, clothing)
- Brochures (cosmetics)
- CVs
- Gaming documents (casino, betting)
- Educational material (academics, osteopathy)
- Banking documents
- Website contents (telecom)
- Medical glossary
- Etc.
I also do proofreading and revison.
Thank you for considering me for your translation needs.
