German term or phrase: aussetzen
I'm not 100% sure how "ausgesetzt" should be translated in this context. Since the prospective bride was only 20 years old, I'm assuming she would not be allowed to enjoy the benefits of community property until she reached her majority (age 21)? So this "community of property" would be postponed/delayed until she reached the age of 21?

defer (deferral or deferment of 'community' of matrimonial property); hold over
Explanation:
einen Prozeß ... > adjourn a trial hearing
zur Bewährung .. > 'place (suspended sentence) on probation'

Hold-over is generally used in Anglo-Am law for rolled-over tenancies of property (land) vs. squats, but arguably a matrimonial regime 'held over' until the age of majority is quite clear.

Too late for points, but not too late for my own entertainment.

Compare with this:

Section 1416
Marital Property
(1) The property of the husband and the property of the wife, as a result of the community of property, become the joint property of both spouses (marital property). http://digi.library.tu.ac.th/thesis/la/0918/18APPENDIX_F.pdf
