LOADING NON-FORMING FILM

• Raise the ///trapeze until the non form trapeze locking pin snaps/// into the trapeze.
• Remove the spanner nut (left-hand thread).
• Load film on spindle.
• Examine spindle set collar (must be locked in its proper location).
• Tighten the spanner against the film core (turn counter-clock wise to tighten).
• Lower the trapeze (set collars must be snugly placed on the edge of the film).
• Rout film through the rollers (see diagram below).
• Pull the film through the slot in the safety guard, over the non-form infeed roller back out under the safety guard.
• Lay two indexes of film on the formed film and tape the edge of the non form film to the forming film.
• Satisfy all machine conditions.
• Press the automatic mode key.
• Keep slack in the non form film until the taped edge passes through the seal station

Me again - had to go out - I've searched everywhere without success : I think this is a case where you really need to ask your client for more details.
If not you'll have to bite the bullet and do a literal translation - never satisfactory !

I can at least help you with the locking pin : goupille de verrouillage, well I assume you were thinking about it. In any case...
Ghyslaine LE NAGARD (asker) Feb 1, 2008:
I wish they had given me a diagram!
Michael GREEN Feb 1, 2008:
Well it seems the "locking pin" (which might not translate "goupille d'arrêt" here) must snap into place when the 1st trapeze is somehow connected to the 2nd trapeze.
I think they might have given you a diagram !
I'll have a think and revert.

Thanks for your help.
I don't have more info, above is the entire section and no diagram is provided in the document.
Also puzzeled about the "locking pin".
Michael GREEN Feb 1, 2008:
As this is a packaging machine, I presume "non form film" refers "film non-thermoformable" ?
So the "trapeze" (which must be "trapèze" in French), must handle the film as it is fed into or through the packaging machine ?
Can you provide any more info ?
