Hello,

One of my clients is going to apply for a Bachelor degree in the Netherlands and she needs her documents to be translated from Greek to English. I currently work in the UK where certified translations have to include the following information according to gov.uk:

the sentence ‘true and accurate translation of the original document’
the date of the translation
the full name and contact details of the translator or a representative of the translation company
(https://www.gov.uk/certifying-a-document)

Would this be acceptable for applying to universities in the Netherlands? Or would I need an apostille in order to provide these translations? Please can someone share their experience of translating documents for Dutch institutions?

Thank you,

Olga

May I suggest that you call the Embassy of the Netherlands in London? Jan 4, 2018

That's what I used to do when I worked in Brussels as a sworn translator every time I had a question like that... I've just checked on the Internet and their phone number is +44 20 7590 3200.

Good luck!

Teresa
