[SOLVED] How to get rid of white space in bio Thread poster: Edith van der Have
|
There's a rather big white space on top of the bio in my profile. In the profile editor, there doesn't seem to be a way to remove this. Is it possible at all to get rid of it? Edit: this screenshot was taken in Chrome, while I was logged in. In IE (not logged in), the white space doesn't occur.

... but that's not what I meant. I want the bio to be the first things visitors of my profile see, but the white space shouldn't be so big. Here's a screenshot made in IE, to compare. | | | Lincoln Hui Hong Kong Local time: 16:48 Member Chinese to English + ... Only shows for you | Feb 27, 2019 |
It apparently uses the same space as the "Show here: KudoZ Activity/Project History" check boxes on the right, which is why you see the space when logged-in. Other people don't, and you won't if you Force Visitor View in your profile.

Is it possible at all to get rid of it? My guess is that the system that shows you a preview uses a more primitive HTML parser than the visitor view. Your profile's bio section has five <p> tags at the top, which the previewer's more primitive HTML parser interprets as paragraph breaks. However, these <p> tags are at the top of a table cell, and in correctly parsed HTML, such <p> tags are ignored. If you want, you can click the "code view" button in the profile editor's formatting toolbar, to see the underlying HTML. | |

The extra small fonts actually are more disturbing for non logged in visitors... This is for everybody as far as I know. Fonts are perfect when you are logged in but when you log out fonts get extra small. | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » [SOLVED] How to get rid of white space in bio Trados Studio 2022 Freelance | The leading translation software used by over 270,000 translators.
