Probably Dec 27, 2019

Since when did it become OK to use the adjective "likely" instead of the adverb "probably"?

Example_

CORRECT: I think it was probably some time in 2018.
WRONG: I think it was likely some time in 2018.

Adjective to adverb Dec 27, 2019

Adverbs can be derived from adjectives in English by adding -ly. Probable > probably.
Maybe you would be okay with “likelyly”? 😊
