I had a prescheduled interpreting call this early morning (before sunrise), from a clinic.
The call was for 2.5 hours, so I blocked my calendar accordingly.
The call got finished by the clinic in 50 mts or so. Now the agency in Minnesota is saying the call may end early or may take more time than planned. So I will be paid for actual time only.
In such cases, how do you handle the payment aspects?

You were booked for 2.5 hours, you should be paid for that! I doubt you could have informed the client after 50 minutes that that was all the time you could stay on the line.
