I'd appreciate some advice on how to use the TMs that can be included in SDL Studio 2011 packages. Thanks.

Until Igor implements support for the .sdltm format, here are a couple of workarounds:

Unzip a Studio package Dec 21, 2012

Hello,

1. Unzip a Studio package
2. Run CafeTran and click Memory | Open memory...
3. Choose a .sdltm file or a folder containing .sdltm memory files.
4. Choose your language pair in the TM Options panel that pops up and press OK.

In the final release, you will just need to click a Studio package file and choose you language pair in the TM option dialog. There will be no need to unzip the Studio package.

Igor

Working with SDLTM in CafeTran Dec 22, 2012

I've tested it and it works like you describe. The language pair was already correct (perhaps because I only work with one language pair and direction?). Anyway, the language pair is also stored in the Studio project definition, perhaps CafeTran can read the info there?

E.g.:
LanguageDirection TargetLanguageCode="pl-PL" SourceLanguageCode="en-EN"
