The Man Booker International Prize longlist announced

The Man Booker Internation Prize, which recognizes works of fiction translated into English and published in the UK, announced its longlist of contenders for the prize on March 15th. Novels and collections of short stories are eligible for the International, as long as they have been translated into English and are published in the UK. The prize is £50,000, to be split equally between the winning author and translator, and all shortlisted authors and translators will receive £1,000 each. As of 2016, the Man Booker International Prize will be awarded annually. This year’s longlist is:

Author (nationality), Translator, Title (imprint)

The shortlist is scheduled to be announced on April 20th, and the winner will be announced on June 14th.
