It has useful tools for checking client reputation, language questions, networking with other translators, discounts on software, etc. It is also a great way of staying up to date with what's going on in the industry, and a paid membership immediately makes your profile look more professional to potential clients. It shows that you're serious about your business. I've been a paying member for a while now and am very pleased with what ProZ.com has to offer.
