Das Stück spielt in und um eine Kneipe in Marlboro Country an der Grenze des Erträglichen. Und später (im 3. Akt) für einen ewigen Augenblick in einem Hotelzimmer.

Die Kneipe.
Golsch, der Pinguin und der Postbote stehen hinter der Bar.
Der Postbote gähnt und löst eine Gähn-Kettenreaktion aus. (er steckt Golsch an, der den Pinguin ansteckt, der den Postboten ansteckt, u.s.w.) Schließlich erfangen sich die drei wieder.
Pinguin.
Alles bereit?
Golsch.
Alles.
Postbote.
(nickt) Yo.
Der Pinguin geht zur Tür, schaut hinaus.
Golsch.
Und?
Pinguin.
Nichts.
Stille.
Postbote.
Schön war sie.
Golsch.
Wer?
Postbote.
Na die Braut.
Golsch.
Ja. Ezra aber auch. Sehr elegant.
Postbote.
Hätte ich ihm gar nicht zugetraut.
Golsch.
Sogar die Krawatte war farblich abgestimmt.
Pinguin.

Il n'y a qu'une seule et longue journée, un après-midi sans fin, avec des amis partent, et nous, nous sommes sur la berge.

Le facteur baille et déclenche un baillement en chaîne. (Il contamine Golsch, qui contamine pingouin, qui contamine le facteur etc.) Les trois se reprennent.
Pingouin.
Tout est prêt ?
Golsch.
Tout est prêt.
Facteur.
(hoche la tête) Ouaip.
Le pingouin va à la porte et regarde à l'extérieur.
Golsch.
Alors ?
Pingouin.
Rien.
Silence.
Facteur.
