Rates:
-- Minimum flat fee: U.S. $125 (for texts of up to 1,000 English words)
-- Standard rate: quoted on a per-project basis, starting at $140 per 1,000 English words
-- Rush rates: likewise quoted on a per-project basis, depending on the length and condition of the source-language text, and on the due date and/or time
NOTE: Please do not contact me regarding editing or "proofreading." I provide those services only for established clients, and only if I'm personally familiar with the work of the translator in question.
Payment terms:
-- First-time clients: Payment is due upon delivery of the translation. (File(s) delivered in protected mode; password provided upon confirmation of receipt of payment via bank wire or PayPal.)
-- New clients (first 50,000 words): Payment due within 10 business days.
-- Established/ongoing clients: By individual agreement.
Translation samples:
-- Name the subject area you're interested in, and I'll be glad to fax or e-mail a corresponding sample; or
-- Send me a small (150-wordish) excerpt from a prospective assignment, for translation at no charge
