Source text - English Inside the sanctuary of the Temple in Jerusalem, Zechariah the priest is happy. He has "won the lottery" to burn incense in the Temple. We see him standing before the golden Altar, softly illuminated by the seven-branched Lampstand (menorah)—when an amazing sight meets his eyes.
As the Bible tells the story, a great angel named Gabriel appears beside the Altar. He is a messenger from God and suddenly starts speaking to Zechariah. The priest trembles in fear. The angel tells Zechariah that the child for which he has prayed is finally coming, a son. The baby is to be called John, meaning "YHWH is gracious." Zechariah is stunned. This news is too good to be true! As a result, the angel rebukes him for his lack of faith. Gabriel declares that Zechariah will be unable to speak until God's promise is fulfilled. For months Zechariah remains speechless. Then his son is born.
At the naming ceremony, Zechariah must write out the name of his newborn son. As soon as he writes "His name is John," his tongue is freed. He launches into a stirring speech that exalts God and reveals the destiny of this child. In Luke 1:68-79 Zechariah declares that his son will: Be the prophet of the "Most High" (God) Prepare the way of the Lord and Grant knowledge of salvation to God's people. At the end of the father's declaration, he foretells what is coming. The "morning light from heaven," he says, "is about to break upon us, to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, and to guide us to the path of peace" Luke 1:78-79.
Translation - Arabic داخل محراب الهيكل في أورشليم، يقف القس زكريا سعيدًا؛ فقد فاز في "القرعة" ونال شرف إحراق البخور في الهيكل، وها نحن نراه يقف أمام المذبح الذهبي، وينبعث ضوء خافت من المنارة ذات العمدان السبعة (الشمعدان) - حين يتراءى أمام عينيه مشهد مذهل.
كما يروي الكتاب المقدس القصة، يظهر ملاكٌ عظيمٌ اسمه جبرائيل بجوار المذبح. إنه رسول من الله، فيبدأ فجأة في التحدث إلى زكريا، وإذا بالقس يرتعد خوفًا، حيث يخبر الملاك زكريا بأن الطفل الذي صلى من أجله قادم أخيرًا، إنه ولد، وسيُدعى الطفل يوحنا، ومعناه "يهوه كريم". وهنا أصاب زكريا الذهول، ألا ليت هذه الأخبار تكون حقيقية! فوبَّخه الملاك لقلة إيمانه، وأعلن جبرائيل أن زكريا لن يكون قادرًا على التحدث حتى يتحقق وعد الله، وتبكم زكريا لشهور، ثم وُلد ابنه.
وفي حفل التسمية، حيث يجب أن يدوِّن زكريا اسم ابنه حديث الولادة، فما إن يكتب "اسمه يوحنا" حتى ينطلق لسانه، وانطلق بعدها في حديث شيِّق يمجِّد الله ويفصح عن مصير هذا الطفل؛ ففي إنجيل لوقا 1:68-79 أعلن زكريا أن ابنه سيكون نبي "العلي" (الله) وسيعد طريق الرب ويعطي المعرفة لشعب الله، وفي نهاية إعلان الأب، تنبأ بما هو قادم. قائلًا: "لِيُضِيءَ - الْفَجْرُ الْمُشْرَقُ مِنَ الْعَلاءِ - عَلَى الْقَابِعِينَ فِي الظَّلامِ وَظِلِّ الْمَوْتِ، وَيَهْدِيَ خُطَانَا فِي طَرِيقِ السَّلامِ" لوقا 1:78-79.

Source text - English Art has evolved over the years, from being tool to cherish and preserve the past heritage, it’s now also a tool to raise awareness on social issues to make a better future.
Nowadays, modern artists are significant contributors to the society as they use their simple, direct to the point, and beautiful artwork to send messages to the society which can be understood by all ages and nationalities. Many major progresses were initially pushed by art pieces.
Another research on social art by Phil Leonard states that art exposes and helps resolve issues of social justice. As a cultural tool, art helps humanize and actualize the emotions, grievances, and fears of those who may not have another place to voice concerns. As an illustrative and journalistic tool, art shocks and inspires us to action. (Leonard, 2013)
The above study confirms the shift in the artists’ role in the society and how their contributions can be of significant importance. This research paper will look for the background of this new movement, how it started and list some success stories of social artists, and most importantly, this paper will look at the influence of the movement and shed light on some artists whom practiced it.

وفي الوقت الحاضر، يُعد الفنانون المعاصرون مشاركين فاعلين في المجتمع بما يقدمونه من أعمالٍ فنية بسيطة ومباشرة في إطار جمالي لتوصيل رسائل إلى المجتمع يفهمها الجميع على اختلاف أعمارهم وجنسياتهم، وقد دفعت القطع الفنية في بادئ الأمر العديد من أوجه التقدم الكبرى إلى الأمام.
ويشير بحث آخر أجراه فيل ليونارد (Phil Leonard) على الفن الاجتماعي إلى أن الفن يعرض قضايا العدالة الاجتماعية ويساعد على حلها، كما يساعد الفن، بصفته أداة ثقافية، على إضفاء الطابع الإنساني على مشاعر مَنْ لا يمتلكون مكانًا للتعبير عن همومهم وآلامهم ومخاوفهم ويجسدها، ويصدمنا الفن، بصفته أداة إيضاحية وصحفية، بالواقع ويدعونا إلى العمل. (ليونارد،2013).
تؤكد الدراسة السابقة على التحول في دور الفنانين في المجتمع وإلى أي مدى يمكن لإسهاماتهم أن تحظى بأهمية بالغة، وستسلط هذه الأطروحة البحثية الضوء على خلفية هذه الحركة وكيف بدأت وقائمة ببعض قصص نجاح الفنانين الاجتماعيين وأكثرها أهمية، كما ستبحث هذه الأطروحة أثر هذه الحركة وتسلط الضوء على بعض الفنانين مِمَنْ شملتهم بالدراسة.

Source text - English Today, infographics can be used by a wide variety of individuals and organizations to enhance their communication. “Solopreneurs,” small businesses, nonprofits, and large corporations can all find ways to use infographics to make their information more interesting and accessible to their target audiences.
You can find infographics published in traditional media such as newspapers and magazines and across digital channels, where social media has helped fuel an explosion in their popularity.
To the casual observer, it would appear that infographics are a recent phenomenon that has been growing in conjunction with the growth of the Internet. The reality is that we have been using icons, graphics, and pictures throughout history to tell stories, share information, and build knowledge, as shown in Figure 1.2.
As we entered the new millennium the publishing of infographics became more democratized, and their use began to extend beyond academia and traditional media channels.
Today, in an era of information overload and shortened attention spans, organizations of all sizes are using infographics to quickly deliver information and understanding to internal and external audiences. Add the fact that social media fuels “shareability,” and everything points to infographics becoming one of the most effective forms of content for communicating information in the digital age. (Shareability is explained in greater detail later in this chapter).
