(is) bestowed with Explanation: It seems to mean that the student was decorated (ornamented) with all the honors, etc., as if laurels were placed on the student's head. The only concern is that I can't find the subject of the verb - is YYY the student, or the university? -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr (2017-04-27 22:11:09 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I think adorned is the literal derivation from "orn," but decorated would be the more usual term for putting an award on a soldier. For a student, the decoration is bestowed upon them. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/bestow |
