Lasure is a french word for "Wood stain" which is a sub-category of paint, consists of a pigment suspended in a "vehicle" of solvent and binding agent (alkyd, linseed oil, acrylic, polyurethane, lacquer, or resin). It is formulated to impart or transport the pigment into the pores of the surface rather than creating a film on top of the surface.

WOOD STAIN is a range of concentrated
dyestuff and stainers dispersed in suitable solvents
(turpentine) to emphasize their colouristic effect.
Wood stains comes to many different colours to
choose from, and they are fully transparent and
display the details of woods.
Major Uses:
WOOD STAINS are used most exclusively to all types
of wood, plywood, and solid woods and they are
designed to use for outdoor furniture.

الفرق بين المنعم و الورنيش في المظهر :
أن الورنيش سيعطي الخشب مظهر وكأن فوقه طبقة من زجاج رقيقة ويمكن تغيير درجة اللون
اما الستان او المنعم فقط يعطي نعومة للخشب بدون تغير لونه الحقيقي |

The Lasure method involves applying layers of colour pigment that have been diluted in a transparent binder. As the layers of colour are applied (mostly by spraying) the wall is gradually and artistically transformed from a flat mono-tonal surface into one that has beauty, dynamic contrasts and rhythm. The overlapping layers of colour flow into each other creating the experience of transition, breathe, depth. The once mono-tonal surface is transformed into a symphony of colour, form and movement.
