Does anybody know how to create alphabetical indexes for terms in Czech?

The problem is that Czech contains a lot of letters with diacritical marks. Which of these letters should be included into a separate section and which shouldn’t? (E.g. should the words beginning with “A” or “Á” be in the same section or in separate sections?)

We would be grateful for the links to the web sites with examples of creating indexes.

Here you go:

Please note "ch", which is also a letter and goes after "h".

Based on this, some special characters - á, ď, é, ě, í, ň, ó, ť, ú, ů, ý - should not be reflected as decisive (not "entitled" for a separated index letter) when being the first letter.

You can also refer to http://www.pistorius.cz/PUMA/Abecední%20řazení.pdf where it is sufficiently explained at point 1.

Non-decisive examples with ď and ú below:

da capo
ďábel
dabing
(ď follows after d in alphabet, but this is not reflected in alphabetical sorting)

ucho
úchop
uchopit
(ú follows after u in alphabet, but this is not reflected in alphabetical sorting)

In other words, Czech alphabet and letters relevant for Czech alphabetical sorting are two different things.
